The online home of Phil Hellmuth!! - The world champion of 1989 (and of exclamtion marks, see his book) plays at Ultimate Bet.
Ultimate Bet is a part of the second tier of poker rooms (that's what I call the five or six top rooms that aren't Party poker). This is definately not because Ultimate Bet is lacking in any way, just because Party became a monster room over the last couple of years.

Ultimate Bet's software is lightening fast - up to 10-20 hands per hour faster than almost any other poker room out there. It is very well laid out, and offers a "Mini-View" feature that makes multi-tabling very simple. The "realistic" perspective takes a little getting used to, but quickly starts to make more sense than the bird's eye view most programs use.
Cashouts take less than a day to process, which is fine by me. Support is variable. I've had some spot-on responses, and some that sound like they were written by a monkey. Response time is decent, it's usually been a few hours for me, depending on what time of day it is.

Ultimate Bet have a good selection of tournaments. They have a lot of guaranteed prize-pool tournaments, and these often contain an overlay (more money in the prize pool than the entry fees cover) - which is a good thing.
Ultimate Bet used to be infamous for having some of the toughest games on the Internet. Thankfully, this has changed, and I now see little difference in ability between the low limits here, and the low limits at most other places.
Overall, Ultimate Bet is a great poker room that has just been held back by a lack of advertising during the first wave of the online poker boom.
